Boundaries

Boundaries are limits that help define what belongs to this School, what it allows, what it protects and how close others may come.

Inside the School

Boundaries can involve time, touch, information, responsibility, emotional labor, space or behavior. They support both protection and sustainable connection.

In everyday life

You agree to help while already exhausted. Relief comes because conflict was avoided, but resentment appears later when the cost reaches the rest of the School.

A boundary can be simple and imperfect: “I cannot do tonight, but I can look tomorrow.” The other person may still be disappointed, and the boundary may still be appropriate.

System connections under load

Boundaries connect CONNECTION, PURPOSE and Security. Fear of rejection can make limits feel dangerous; anger or fatigue may reveal them after they were missed. Regulation means bringing needs, capacity and relationship evidence into one decision rather than treating comfort as the only sign of correctness.

Important nuance

A boundary is not automatically rejection. Too little flexibility can isolate; too little protection can create resentment or overload. Connected paths: The Principal · Security Department · Anger · People Pleasing · Connection Check

Boundaries help connection remain possible without requiring self-abandonment.
