Fatigue

“Everything feels harder than it should.”

Fatigue is not only sleepiness. It can feel physical, mental, emotional or global. The Body may feel heavy. The Secretary may struggle to organize. Small decisions may feel expensive. Students may become more reactive. Motivation may disappear. Security may become more sensitive because the School has less spare capacity. InsideISS looks at fatigue as a whole-system signal rather than a character judgment.

Low capacity is information, not evidence of laziness.

A recognizable moment

You have enough energy to scroll but not enough to begin the complicated task you planned. Fatigue is not a moral verdict. Different activities ask for different kinds of attention, movement, uncertainty and effort.

Through the ISS lens

Fatigue can involve BODY and ENERGY most directly, but every World can contribute to the total load. Poor sleep can reduce capacity. Illness can reduce capacity. Physical effort can reduce capacity. Constant thinking can reduce capacity. Conflict, grief, uncertainty and prolonged vigilance can reduce capacity. Sometimes several moderate demands combine into one exhausted School. This is why the newest task may feel impossibly large even when the task itself is ordinary.

A common pattern

The School becomes tired. The Secretary notices reduced performance. A sticky note appears: I should be able to do more. The Principal increases pressure. Security interprets falling behind as another problem. The School spends more resources trying to overcome low capacity. Fatigue grows. What began as a resource signal becomes a secondary loop of pressure.

What can help

The useful questions are practical: What has the School been carrying? What basic needs are missing? What can be delayed or removed? Does the system need sleep, food, movement, quiet, medical attention, connection or simply time? Not all fatigue can be solved through rest, and persistent or unexplained fatigue can require appropriate medical evaluation. InsideISS does not diagnose its cause.

It helps the Principal stop treating every low-capacity state as a motivation problem.

Fatigue asks the School to compare current demand with current capacity.
