Prediction is the Mind's attempt to anticipate what is likely to happen next.
Inside the School
Prediction makes planning possible. Security also depends on it because protection often has to begin before certainty is available.
In everyday life
You see that an email is marked urgent and imagine the problem before opening it. The Body prepares for a future that has not yet been confirmed.
Prediction is also ordinary and useful: you pack a charger before traveling, leave earlier because traffic is likely or bring a coat after reading the sky.
System connections under load
Prediction connects MIND with Security and Purpose. When uncertainty is high, possible outcomes may begin to feel like present facts. Regulation does not require predicting nothing; it means holding likelihood, evidence and uncertainty separately enough to choose a proportionate next step.
Important nuance
Under uncertainty, prediction can drift toward repeated threat simulation. A possibility may then begin to feel like evidence simply because it has been imagined many times. Connected paths: The Secretary · Security Department · Anxiety · Overthinking · Alarm Loop
Prediction is one of the Mind's most useful abilities and one of the easiest to confuse with certainty.
