Role: The physical structure through which the entire School exists and experiences life. The School Building is the Body. Every meeting, lesson, alarm, thought, feeling and decision happens inside a living physical system. The Building is not scenery. Its condition changes what is possible inside. A well-rested School and an exhausted School may face the same problem very differently.
Everything inside the School happens somewhere in the Body.
A recognizable moment
A noisy night, a headache and an overheated commute change how the whole day feels. The Building is not background scenery; every thought and conversation is taking place inside its current conditions.
When the Building is supported by movement, food or rest, the same decision may require less effort even though the decision itself has not changed.
What the School Building represents
The Building represents the physical human organism. Its rooms, corridors, lights, heating, alarms and maintenance systems give InsideISS a visual language for talking about complex interactions. The metaphor is not anatomy. There is no literal Principal's Office in the brain and no literal Basement containing emotions. The Building is a map for thinking about the whole system.
The Building and the Workers
The Workers maintain the Building continuously. Most of their work remains invisible until something changes enough to reach awareness. The Building therefore contains much more activity than conscious experience can track.

The Building and Energy+
A Building has conditions: warm, cold, bright, quiet, busy, depleted or activated. The Furnace and Electricity help represent capacity and system state. When Energy changes, the experience of the whole Building can change with it.
The Building sends signals+
Pain, fatigue, tension, hunger and sensory input are not inconveniences outside the system. They are information from the Building. The Principal does not need to panic about every signal. But leadership becomes poorer when the Building is ignored.
When the Building is under load+
Physical illness, sleep loss, sustained stress, pain, overstimulation or insufficient recovery can reduce the School's flexibility. The Secretary may think less clearly. Students may react more strongly. Security may become more sensitive. Purpose may feel harder to access. This does not mean every psychological experience is caused by the Body. It means the Building is always part of the context.
What helps+
The Building benefits from ordinary maintenance: sleep, movement, nutrition, recovery, appropriate healthcare, sensory conditions that fit the moment, and attention to physical signals. InsideISS does not use the School Building metaphor to diagnose. It uses it to keep the physical system visible.
