Imagination

Imagination is the ability to create possibilities that do not currently exist.

Imagination is the ability to create possibilities that do not currently exist.

Inside the School

It supports creativity, planning, empathy, rehearsal and goals. The same ability can also generate catastrophic scenarios that Security responds to as relevant possibilities.

In everyday life

Before a presentation, you picture forgetting every word and seeing disappointment on every face. The imagined scene produces real activation even though it has not happened.

The same capacity lets you rehearse a difficult conversation, design a room, invent a story or notice a possibility nobody has tried.

System connections under load

Imagination connects MIND with EMOTIONS, ENERGY and PURPOSE. Under threat it may generate increasingly vivid danger; with enough safety and capacity it can support creativity and preparation. The Principal can ask whether an image is a warning, a rehearsal or an invitation to explore.

Important nuance

InsideISS does not divide imagination into good and bad. The question is whether the imagined future is being used as a possibility, a plan or mistaken for a certainty. Connected paths: The Secretary · The Principal · Prediction · Anxiety · Creativity

Imagination lets the School visit possible futures before any of them become real.
