System load is the combined demand being carried across Body, Mind, Emotions, Connection and Purpose.
Inside the School
Sleep loss, pain, decisions, conflict, uncertainty, sensory stimulation and even positive excitement can add to the total. The School may react strongly to a small new demand because it was already carrying many others.
In everyday life
Poor sleep, background pain, a deadline and a crowded commute each use part of the School’s capacity. By midday, a routine request feels like too much even though no single factor explains the whole state.
Removing one demand may not create immediate calm, but it can stop the load from increasing and make the next useful choice more available.
System connections under load
System load is the combined demand across Worlds. Because many inputs overlap, the School may misread limited capacity as personal failure. Regulation can begin anywhere useful: less stimulation, clearer priorities, physical care, support, completion or a deliberate decision about what will not be carried today.
Important nuance
Looking at load prevents the newest trigger from being mistaken for the whole explanation. Connected paths: The Furnace · Stress · Cognitive Load · Fatigue
The last demand may trigger the reaction without being the entire load.
