Trust is the expectation that another person, group or relationship is sufficiently reliable, predictable and safe.
Inside the School
Trust grows from evidence across time. Words matter, but repeated behavior often provides stronger information to Security and the Students.
In everyday life
A colleague does what they promised several times in a row. Nothing dramatic happens, but Security gradually needs less monitoring around shared work.
Trust can also weaken through small inconsistencies: changed stories, missed commitments or warmth that disappears whenever you disagree.
System connections under load
Trust is built from evidence across time, not from a command to feel safe. CONNECTION, memory and Security all participate. Regulation may involve clarification, boundaries, repair or distance; the useful response depends on the pattern that is actually present.
Important nuance
Trust does not require removing boundaries or ignoring contradictory evidence. It can be partial, contextual and updated. Connected paths: The Principal · Security Department · Boundaries · Communication
Trust is a living estimate built from experience, not an obligation to feel safe.
